Grief is complex.
Ritual doesn’t have to be.
Why I Made This
Through my research, work as a death doula, and personal experience, I’ve learned how powerful ritual can be for healing. Taking a specific, physical action to mark a transition or honor a loved one is something that provides comfort to many people, regardless of cultural or religious background.
I’ve also learned that for those who don’t have a clear set of practices to follow, ritual can seem inaccessible, overwhelming, or complicated.
I created this offering–a candle and accompanying reflection card–to provide a lightweight, simple framework for ritual around loss that anyone can use. Light the candle when you want to take a moment to remember your person, and use the reflection prompts on the card if you’d like some gentle guidance.
I hope it will make you or someone you care about feel more supported in dealing with loss.
